There is a blessing to be had in the house of the Lord. Sabbath by Sabbath, for two millennia the people of God have gathered all around the world to receive this blessing. The Lord blesses his people and manifests his loving presence to them everyday, but on the Lord’s day, he does so in a special way.

The Lord summons his people to gather and worship him. He declares his words of hope and life. He tenderly bends his ear to listen to his struggling children. He sends forth his grace and mercy. He shows his glory and might. He saves the sinner and builds up the saint. He publicly portrays Jesus Christ crucified. He utters his blessing upon his people.

The people know it, they gather together in the morning and then in the evening they are there again. Waiting with baited breath to taste and see the that the Lord is good.

Where will you be when the saints gather for worship on the glorious Sabbath? Sadly, many say they love it and yet are found at the beach, the mall, the cafe, the couch, or the bed. Meanwhile, the faithful saints are gathered together for worship, will you be there? Sowing with your presence and reaping the Lord’s own presence!
